Sakae Artist: Emanuel Harrold

Emanuel Harrold, Native of St.Louis, began his professional career at 17. Harrold has earned his BFA from the New School University in Manhattan, New York. Emanuel has constantly been working since hitting the New York seen. Harrold has Performed, Recorded, and Toured the world with the likes of musician greats such as James Spaulding, John Hicks, Ronnie Mathews, Donald Brown, Rene McLean, Roy Hargrove, Gregory Porter, Tony Allen, Bill Saxton, Willie Akins, Kids in The Hall & Hypnotic Brass Ensemble to name a few.

Emanuel is fortunate to be mentored by such musical greats as Charlie Persip, Reggie Workman Lewis Nash and Bernard 'Pretty' Purdie. Emanuel has his hands in production dealing in the pop/hip hop world in projects and studio recordings with his brother's Keyon and Jasson Harrold production company Key Kat Productions, Hip-Hop legends De La Soul, (UK)Damon Auburn, (USA) Kids in The Hall,(Nigeria) Tony Allen, (USA)Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and (USA). Currently Harrold is active touring, recording, producing and remixing various projects.

Emanuel's drumming contributions can be heard on Gregory Porter's Grammy nominated recordings 'Water' , 'Be Good' and recent Grammy Award Winning Album 'Liquid Spirit' for best 'Vocal Jazz Album of the Year'. The freedom, message and spirit of the music that relates globally to all audiences keep Emanuel inspired. Harrold comes from a musical family that dates back to the 1940's & 50's in the USA. Emanuel's grandfather Frank Harrold Sr. & siblings traveled as singers and won competitions with Diana Ross's uncle C.Q. Ross in New York & all over the USA. Grandmother Rose Evers was a home town/ midwest great talent and Gospel Recording Artist in St.Louis , Mo. Music has been in Harrold's Life since the beginning. Instruments, Church, Drum and Bugle Corps, Band, Choir and performing is all I've known from childhood.. Emanuel Harrold percussive sound is nominated, awarded, appreciated and recognized globally.
