Sakae Artist: Toar Pelenkahu

His drawn to music started when he was 5 years old, from then he was introduced to music scores, time signature, notes and tempo. Growing up in church gave him the love at first sight for drums. At the age of 12 he started playing with Ade Manuhutu, an Indonesian gospel artist and got deeply involved in church music until now. From that moment God had open doors of ministry to meet and work with great names in the music industry such as Aminoto Kosin, True Worshippers, Monita Tahalea, Minggus Tahitoe, Ello, Franky Sihombing, and many more.Toar is the music director and songwriter for his gospel band, Verse Of The Day, who have travelled and performed in Australia, Malaysia, the Netherlands, and in many places throughout Indonesia. He is also the man behind GospelDrumTips, a Twitter and Youtube account for online drum lessons and tips. These days, Toar holds the Head of Educational Division at JBC Music and Performing Art School and performs multiple clinics, gigs and sessions.

"To be part of Sakae family is really an honor for me. I’ve known the Sakae sound for many years, and now to be able to play Sakae drums on stage is like a dream come true. I played the Almighty series, and in my opinion, the drums is like it’s name; Mighty. The sound is just incredible, they sing really well whether I play it on stage or in a studio. It’s just awesome."
