A versatile all-arounder, Dirk Brand can be found performing on many international drum festivals and working with famous artists like Charlie Mariano (Jazz Legend), Deborah Watson (R&B), Geoff Downes und John Wetton (Asia), Gloria Gaynor, Catherina Valente, Gitte Henning, Gregor Hilden, Sascha Klaar, Sydney Youngblood, Thomas Blug (Fender Strat King), George Whitehorn (Procol Harum), TV Band Martin Ernst Allstars, USA Blues Legend Kal David (BB King), Go Music All Stars, Samantha Smith (USA), Ron Jackson,Jerry Donahue (Helecasters), Bruno Nunes (Brazil), Al Copley (Blues Brothers) and famous german Metalgroup Axxis (playing at the World famous Wacken Open Air and all over the world), as with Belgium Dance Supergroup Milk Inc. playing at some of the biggest Dance Festivals around! This work included a collaboration with Megastars like SEAL or A-ha!
In 2015 he joined the famous german Prog-Rock Group "Subsignal" and recorded their highly acclaimed album "The Beacons of Somewhere Sometime". This album was No. 1 at many international radio stations and nominated for best Prog-Rock Album in 2015 by many Music Newspapers. With Subsignal he is playing heavily in Europe and supporting Bands like Spock's Beard or Aristotcrats.
With extraordinaire Keyboarder Delmar Brown (Miles Davis, Sting), he played 2011-2013 on many World- Pop Festivals. Touring with the Goethe Institute for german government he played in Israel, France und Russia. As an on demand Drummer he played many Musicals like "Evita"", "Linie 1"", "Feet of the Flames" or "Hair" to name a few.
Dirk Brand is author of the high acclaimed drumbooks "1000 Faces of Drum Styles", "Future Drumming", "Chartreading" und "Pocket Rhythms for Drums" and the DVD "A Band Concept". The book "1000 Faces of Drum Styles" has been also translated into Chinese in 2011. He is writing for the German Drum magazine "Drums&Percussion" a monthly column about "Electronic and Hybrid Drumming".
He is performing his wide style of different drumming skills on drum festivals in many countries like, Tam- Tam Festival (France), (Warsaw Drum Festival Poland), Drums&Percussion Paderborn (Germany), Le Bag Show (France), Dresdner Drum Festival (Germany), Drummer Meeting Koblenz (Germany) and many more along Steve Smith, Dave Weckl, Simon Phillips, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gerorge Koljas etc.

For 8 years he was a member of the Westfälische Wilhelms University in Münster and now he is the Drum Department Head of the Rock-, Jazz-, Pop-, Academy called short RPJam in Gießen close to Frankfurt.
