Karel William, slowly but surely has stolen the attention of Indonesia's drumming scene. Hundreds of enthusiastic drummers in attendance at his recent drum clinic sponsored by Sakae Drums Indonesia stand as a testament to of his competence and reputation thus far in his career.
Karel was attracted to drums for the first time when he was fourteen years of age. Church was his first place for gaining knowledge and where he performed for the first time. In 2009, he started his career as a professional drummer, canvasing his name from one small stages to the next. An interesting thing happened in 2010 when he met a local hero among jazz pianists of Surabaya, Yudy Barlean which lead him to his love for jazz music. Along his path of loving and learning jazz, Sandy Winarta, is a name of prestige that happened to be one of his teachers, deepening his skills.
I am very delighted to be counted as one of Sakae Drums family. The thing that made me excited about Sakae is their consistency in bringing outstanding innovations for drummers around the world. I'm very confident that I'm with the right team. It is going to be a great-new chapter for me as an artist. Praise The Lord!
