Orlando Ribar is one of the busiest and most stylistically assured drummers in Switzerland. He toured with the band of the Swiss Rocklady Sina for 16 years, and has been on stage with all the big names in the Swiss Pop, Rock and Jazz scene such as Polo Hofer, Bligg, Slädu, Gölä, Ritschi, Adi Stern, Marc Sway, Marc Storace, Philipp Fankhauser, Dani Felber and many more. He can be heard on hundreds of CDs and has performed in all the major Festivals in Switzerland, as well as drumming in countless TV Shows.
Since 2009 Orlando Ribar has been working in the renowned Artistic - Circus - Shows Salto Natale and Ohlala as bandleader and drummer.
In 2010 Ribar made a stage appearance in a Musical, playing the role of a clinically insane percussionist "Sven" in the Musical "Die Patienten" written by Marco Rima.
In the Musical "Moses", which had its world premiere in the Stadttheater St.Gallen in February 2013, Orlando Ribar is engaged as first call drummer; the work is the product of close collaboration between the composer and producer Dieter Falk (Germany) and the arranger Michael Reed (UK).
With his newly-launched Performance Solo DVD "Rhythm is Music" Ribar not only displays Solo and Rock drumming but also uses J. S. Bach’s D minor Toccata to connect elements of classical music with drums and percussion.
Several years ago Orlando Ribar set up his own recording studio "Rhythm is Music Studio Production"; here he works as both sound engineer and producer, and was responsible for the drum recordings, mix and mastering of the newest CD "Standarts" by Laszlo Spiro and Orlando Ribar.
As a producer Ribar arranged and produced the debut album of the young singer HANNAH "More & Less". In collaboration with the label "NiRo Music", the album was launched in September 2014 world-wide.
